One of our core practices at OVC is generosity. We believe that all that we have comes from God and that we are stewards of His resources. This applies to everything in our lives - our time, our money, our stuff, our relationships – everything!
Part of giving means offering a portion of what we earn back to God in worship. It doesn’t matter if the money we have has come to us through a steady paycheque, from pensions, or from gifts. Over the years, God has been faithful to provide for our community’s needs in amazingly miraculous ways as well as through the faithful offerings of people who call OVC home.
E-transfer
Send an electronic transfer from your bank to donate@ovcchurch.ca. No password is required. All e-transfers to that address are automatically deposited. If you are new to OVC, please make sure that we have your full name and address so that we can provide a tax receipt. There are no additional fees or costs to OVC with e-transfers.
Sunday Morning
We no longer pass around offering baskets, but we do have a box by the door. Cash or cheques payable to Ottawa Valley Community Church or OVC can be placed in the offering box on the table at the back of the cafetorium. Cost of fees to OVC: less than 1%.
Charitable Impact
You can give through Charitable Impact (formerly known as CHIMP) by clicking HERE. Charitable Impact accepts credit cards and allows for regular donations. Charitable Impact does not charge an administrative fee on your gifts and only recovers third-party processing fees that are charged to them by banks and credit card companies. For credit cards this is typically 2.8%.
Online Bill Payment
From your computer, you can add OVC as payee through your regular online banking site with CIBC, RBC, TD, BMO, Scotiabank, Simplii Financial or your Credit Union. Just search for “Ottawa Valley Community Church” (or "Ottawa Valley Vineyard") and enter your account number (this appears on your charitable donations receipt as "Envelope #"). If you’re a new donor and don’t yet have an account number or have misplaced it, simply email donate@ovcchurch.ca and we’ll get it to you. Cost of fees to OVC: less than 1%.
Canada Helps
You can give through Canada Helps by clicking HERE. Canada Helps accepts credit cards and allows for regular donations. Canada Helps keeps 3.5% for administration expenses.
